The Wisconsin Chow Chow Club, Inc. was formed in 1936 by people interested in promoting and protecting the Chow. Our membership is made up of people from all walks of life who share their love of this unique breed. Most of the members live in the Madison and Milwaukee areas but we have members in Illinois as well.
Our club is open to reputable Chow breeders, exhibitors, pet owners and people simply interested in the Chow Chow. We meet between 4 and 6 times a year to plan activities, share information and socialize. Our meetings are informal and usually held at a member's home followed by a potluck dinner.
Some of our annual activities include sponsoring an annual specialty show for Chows and participating in local dog fairs and exhibitions. We provide a breeder referral service to put people in touch with reputable breeders, we provide assistance with rescue and rehoming, and we're always there to give advice on care, grooming, showing, training and responsible breeding.
