The Chow Chow Club, Inc., sometimes referred to as "The Parent Club", is the AKC-recognized national organization for the Chow Chow breed.
Chow Health is a useful place to resource and contribute information. Our goal is to educate and to increase awareness of owners, breeders and admirers on the health and temperament of the chow chow.
Chow Pedigree Database The pedigree database contains all the OFA, CERF and other health information collected for the National club. It is a useful tool for researching and improving the health of chows.
Submit Pedigree Pedigree information, photos, and health certifications may be added to the Chow Pedigree database by filling out the "Submit Pedigree" form.
The Dog Federation of Wisconsin (DFOW) is the unified voice of those who value the love of a good dog. We work to educate the public and law makers on responsible dog ownership, the threat animal rights poses to animal ownership and we work on canine legislation at the federal, state and local levels.
Chow Chow Welfare is an annually appointed committee of the Chow Chow Club, Inc., the AKC-recognized national parent club of the Chow Chow breed in the U.S. The committee is small but its scope is large. Some of our functions are:
- to provide information about the Chow Chow breed to Chow owners, the public, animal shelters and veterinarians.
- to provide a central contact point for people seeking placement for abandoned or unwanted Chows and those who would like to adopt them
- to maintain a directory of Chow rescue volunteers
- to provide information, resources and support to Chow rescue volunteers and other individuals aiding homeless Chow Chows.
